Guess it's time!
Time to become Disney movie collectors, that is! Gavin now asks to watch movies more frequently than Elmo or Thomas. We have Cars on DVR, but he doesn't understand the commercials. He's in there right now, fascinated by Ratatouille....just another sign he's growing up. Guess our Disney DVD collection needs to begin!

Weekend fun
We had a great weekend here! I know many of my friends and family from back home got some snow, but we actually didn't. We totally missed the huge Blizzard of '09 that the east coast got....thankfully!
Jarrod worked in Buffalo all day Saturday. Gavin and I ran a few errands, and then Erin came over and we made a couple batches of Buckeyes and she finished her Christmas cards. It was nice to spend some time with her, and I got to cut some cute little things for some Christmas pages on her Cricut machine. That thing is AWESOME! Love it! When Jarrod finally got home, Gavin was just getting into bed, so we got to relax on the couch with a nice drink and we watched The Hangover. Very funny movie....though a bit raunchy. :)
Sunday was going to be our day to run errands, but Jarrod decided that he needed to do some shopping alone for me. So, we were going to run to Target and Kohls together and then let him go alone. Gavin hadn't slept well the night before, and he was getting really crabby, so I put him down for a nap and told Jarrod to go ahead and run his errands and I'd go when he got back. Well, he was gone for like 6 hours! So, I decided to just wait and run my errands another day. Instead, we took Gavin to look at Christmas lights. We were supposed to go Saturday, but Jarrod's work day was longer than he thought. He was so cute....there was one street all lit up and he kept saying, "Wow....Santa....Ho Ho Ho!....Wow....Santa....Ho Ho Ho!" over and over again. I think he really enjoyed it!

Date Night
It's hard to believe, but Jarrod and I hadn't been to a movie together since before Gavin was born! (And then...I honestly don't even remember what movie we saw then...Jarrod thinks it was the last Pirates of the Carribean). So, when we were offered a few hours of babysitting to go see a movie, we jumped!
The Proposal was a really cute movie. Perfect for Date Night! Definitely more of a chick flick, but a shot of Sandra Bullock's naked body helped to make it not too girly. :) It was nice to sit in the theater, hold Jarrod's hand, and enjoy ourselves. We were only gone a few hours, and of course Gavin was on my mind the entire time, but we deserved it!
