Pumpkin Patch Tradition

This marked the third year we visited the Pumpkin Patch with the Famini crew.  Something tells me it will be our last... :(  Even if it ends up that we can go next year, we'll definitely find a new place for 2013.  We were pretty disappointed with the selection of pumpkins this year.  And in the end, I was pretty disappointed with how my photos turned out.  Sigh.  I want to take a photography class sooo so bad!  Someday...

We had beautiful weather to explore the corn maze and the petting zoo.

LOVE how fun it is to get all four kids together.  Such special friends!

And because I'm a sucker for memories....

Pumpkin Patch

Last year, we hit up the local pumpkin patch and corn maze with our new friends, Amy, Chris, and Lucas.  We've since decided that it's going to be a yearly thing as long as we're all still living here! :)  So, before you look at the pics from this year, take a peek back at what the kiddos looked like last year.

Some of my favorites from 2010...

So, a couple weekends ago, we headed there again, this time with our new 'pumpkins' in tow.  It was a beautiful day, but it felt a bit more like summer than fall!  Quite warm...  We let the boys ride the 'Cow Train' while us mamas and babies stayed back, and then did the petting zoo, the corn maze, and the pumpkin patch.  It was a great fall day, and I look forward to doing it again next year!

Their new addition, Caleb, all ready for the season!

 The perfect pumpkins!
Babies!!!

It's kinda hard to see, but in the picture below, there's a goat all the way at the top.  Everyone started cheering loudly when he started his way up the ramp to the top!  It was kind of funny to watch him come back down.

Pumpkin Patch!

More fall pics from the weekend before last!  I'm still adjusting to this new laptop and using a different Internet browser....and Blogger is acting really weird for me.

Last Sunday, we headed to the Ozark Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch with a fellow playgroup family.  Amy and I met through Hip Mamas and decided we had to get our families together.  Ozark had a petting zoo area with goats and a young cow and both Gavin and Lucas loved this area.  Gavin was chasing the goats all around!

Then we headed into the corn maze.  We took the "Children's Maze" so it was only 15 minutes or so that we were in the maze.  Gavin was so interested in all the corn!  I love this picture of him and his Daddy.
After we made it out of the corn maze, the boys tried to high five one another....it was quite the process.  :)
New Friends ~ Lucas and Gavin
Next we walked out to the pumpkin patch.  We've taken Gavin to pumpkin patches the past 2 years - once in Ohio, once in NY.  But we've never been to one with vines everywhere!  Gavin was tripping over them left and right.  But, he really did enjoy the different sizes of pumpkins.
Family photo time!

There was a giant pile of mulch - like probably over 6ft - that Gavin loved running up and down.  He went up with Jarrod at first, but after the first time, he wanted to run down alone.  It was making me a nervous wreck, but he loved it!  I went to the top with him and he'd run down to Jarrod all by himself.

We had a great time with friends, and it was the perfect end to a fabulous fall weekend!  Now, we can't wait to carve the pumpkins...Gavin wants Lightning McQueen on his.
