Wedding!

I've been slacking...but really I've also been too lazy to go through all the pictures other people have shared from Megan's wedding and save them to my computer so that I could share them here.  And then, Megan shared the slideshow that their photographer created!  Perfect!

Once I have time to actually save some to my computer, I will share more individual shots from the beautiful day, but until then, enjoy these...

Riley's 1st Beach Trip

I think I fall in love with the ocean more every time I go.  Seriously, I can remember a time when Jarrod talked about moving to the beach and I told him he was crazy.  Now, when I'm there, I can totally see myself living near the ocean.  There's something so magical about standing on the sandy beach and watching the waves.

Riley is a water girl.  She loves to be in the pool, but I wasn't sure how she'd react to the sand.  I was so excited to get the kids to the beach and watch them play.  Gavin, apparently, was super excited to!  After finally arriving at the beach house on Sunday, we walked down to the sand and he started digging in it like this...

And then he promptly threw sand right into his eye and that ended our first trip to the beach.  I rushed him into the house because he was screaming so much, and tried for several minutes to flush his eye.  In the meantime, he rubbed it so much while he was crying that he actually had rubbed the eyelid and right under his eye raw with sand, so he has a mark in a lot of the pictures.  Jarrod told him to tell people he was in a bar fight.

The next morning, we hung out on the back deck while Gavin and Mimi took a little walk down to the ocean.  I love the way Riley is looking at her daddy in this picture.

Those two little specks on the beach are Mimi and Gavin!

As they headed back, Riley was so excited to see them getting closer.  She stuck her little hand through the slats and waved frantically to them.  I love how you can see the blur of Gavin and his Mimi in the distance on the second photo.

Gavin came up and was very happy to tell us about a big sandcastle they saw on their walk so we all attempted the beach again.  And it was perfect!  Megan took the camera and got some great shots for me.  I love when I'm able to be in some of the pictures.  And I love that we're all in our pajamas still since it was so early in the morning.  Such special memories.

My sweet babies' footprints.  Love.

Massage School

I realized this morning that I forgot to include pictures of Gavin's massage training he got in Cincinnati.  I always look forward to visits with my sister because she gives AMAZING massages.  Well, this time, Gavin wanted in on the action, so he got a little lesson from Aunt Meggie.

And I'm happy to report that he still uses some of the techniques learned to give me massages at home!  Lucky Mama!

Gingerbread Fun

We decided to start a new tradition while we were visiting.  The night before Thanksgiving, we order in Chinese food, which is super fun and delicious.  Now, this year, we added in making a gingerbread house after eating the Chinese food.  Gavin had a blast!

I was pretty impressed with how it turned out, and I think we all agreed that the gorgeous example on the box cannot possibly be made from the kit!  It must have been painted on. Lol.

Thirteen Thursday

I have to get these photos finished from Megan and Kyle's visit so I can upload new ones and get caught up!  The last day they were here, we took them to the Bentonville Farmer's Market.  Our downtown area is one of my favorite things about living here.  It's so small and quaint.  I love going there and walking around.  Gavin loves the fountain!  We try to go to the market every Saturday morning just to get in an early morning walk and buy some local veggies.  So, here are 13 of the photos we took while we were there.  We loved having you guys visit!
