Gavin loves that when the sun shines through the top of our windows, it makes shapes on the carpet. He loves to say, "Look, Mom! A bare!" (square) or "Look, Daddy! A rectangle!" (Yes, he pronounces rectangle better than square - s words are too hard for him.) So, recently Jarrod showed him how he could make shadow puppets in the square or rectangle.
The other day, as he was walking through the living room, he noticed the carpet and immediately started putting his hands up and saying, "Quack, quack!" trying to make a shadow puppet duck. Cutest. Thing. Ever.
