Christmas 2

How cute is this?  It's actually the runner-up for our card this year...I didn't want anyone to see our final one yet.  I can't wait to get my order.  I LOVE Shutterfly!

End of the trip

Well, I showed you how spoiled Gavin was over the trip but I haven't mentioned much about what Jarrod and I got.  I honestly didn't take many pictures either, but here are a few things.

Megan wrapped up her print that I wanted for Gavin's bathroom - it says, "I love you more than all of the fish in the ocean."  It looks great in his bathroom.
And she totally surprised me with this new camera strap!  I LOVE IT!!!  I bought her one last year and told her how much I wanted one of my own and finally have one.  Isn't it just the most adorable thing ever?
Jarrod got this new alarm clock which we are both so thrilled about.  His alarm clock was hard to set and mine was literally in three pieces (thanks, Gavin.)  This new one projects the time on the ceiling, so I got to throw my old one away and I can see what time it is without having to sit up and look over Jarrod.  It's lovely!  It also displays the temperature, which I think it pretty clever, and is a sound machine, which will come in handy when we have a sleeping baby in our room.
We got lots of other goodies including gift cards to Walmart (which sadly are already gone....we spend way too much money at that store!  Thanks, Rose and Sandy.  They were great gifts!).  Jarrod got a Bass Pro gift card and I got a Spa Finder gift card.  :)  We got some new clothes and Jarrod got another Nutcracker to add to his collection - this one is a hunter, very fitting!

Friday morning, my mom, Rosi and I were at Walmart at 4am to start our Black Friday shopping.  I LOVE shopping on Black Friday and I'm so glad that after a 2 year break I got to go again.  We got some great deals and had some nice bonding time, including over a nice hot breakfast!

Then, Rosi surprised me with this really-early birthday present!
We finally have a Wii!  I'm so excited about it.  We've already had a fun 'Wii Date Night' where I beat Jarrod in archery.  Yay!

After shopping, Jarrod and I got back on the road with a VERY full truck.  I'm so glad we took Jarrod truck this time!  It was packed.  The drive home seemed much longer than the drive to Ohio.  It's always like that though, huh?  We spent the drive talking about baby things, of course.  Baby names were discussed, and no, we're not telling.  I thought about the things we'll need, like a double stroller, a new diaper bag (I didn't like ours, so I sold it...), a new highchair (since I ruined ours).  I thought about things I want to get, like a food processor, so I can make my own baby food this time around, and how I'd like to cloth diaper this time.  Of course, we have a long time to think about all those things, but it's hard not to have it on my mind all the time.  I've been told the second pregnancy goes much faster than the first one, so I'm trying to plan ahead! :)

We arrived back to Arkansas late Friday night and spent Saturday and Sunday getting things unpacked, organized, and sorted.  And, I'm still not done...Gavin's toy room still needs a lot of work!  That's on my agenda for this weekend!

Our Thanksgiving surprise!

We're almost through the week - but first I want to add that on Tuesday, Jarrod surprised me yet again with a trip to Aveda for a manicure and pedicure.  It was heavenly!  I love getting pedicures especially...sitting in the massaging chair for an hour with a magazine while someone rubs my feet - what's not to love???

Wednesday we didn't do too much...headed to Bass Pro Shops and then hung out at home and started what I hope is a new tradition - ordered Chinese take out for dinner so we didn't have to cook before cooking all day Thursday.  First Wok, how I've missed you!

Which brings us to Thanksgiving.  I LOVE Thanksgiving.  The dinner is always so yummy!  I love that we still continue Grandma's legacy and make cole slaw, and my wonderful sister came to the rescue and made pea salad when we found out mom wasn't making it.  (It's not Thanksgiving without pea salad!)  I also love that Jarrod's family comes to my parents' house.  It's so nice to have everyone under one roof and not have to run from place to place.

This Thanksgiving was a little different.  The original plan was to do our gift exchange after dinner, but my family decided that Gavin should have his toys to play with for the week, so really we only had to do gifts from Megan and Kyle and a few random gifts to Jarrod and me from my aunts.  So, after we all stuffed ourselves, we quickly opened presents before Sandy and Dave had to leave.  Here is Gavin opening the last of his presents....

We gave Megan and Kyle their gifts...
Seriously....could they be any cuter???

Then, they totally spoiled us with gifts!  (I'll be adding more about the gifts Jarrod and I received...I haven't take pics yet.)

Lastly, Gavin opened one last gift from his Mommy and Daddy.

I admit that I did plan ahead....I knew this outcome could be a possibility while at home so I packed this shirt that my wonderful friend, Rebekah, made for me.  (Check out her adorable etsy shop!) So, when I tested Thursday morning and it was positive, I was so excited for the chance to tell our family in person while we were there!

This post is getting quite lengthy, so I'll add more later....I have to get some things done now!

Fun Times with Beepa!

Gavin had a great time playing around with Beepa while we were home.  He loved getting on his shoulders while Beepa bounced up and down.  Too cute!

Wordless Wednesday - just for my dad!
