Isn't it funny how vacations make you so tired??? Yesterday was a LONG day! We traveled all day. For some reason, flying into and out of our airport can get quite pricey. Add that on to the fact that we had to use United because of vouchers we had for Jarrod and me, and we ended up with 2 layovers each way for this flight - and that was still a $600 ticket! Crazy... Anyway, the airport is 2 hours from Jarrod's aunt, so we got up yesterday at 4am to get ready and drive to the airport. Then, we flew from Orlando to D.C. and then to Chicago. Our flight was delayed 15 mins in Chicago because the plane coming in was late...well just as we were about to board, it started to lightning, so we weren't allowed to board. Talk about bad timing! If we weren't delayed, we would have been in the air before the lightning started. Oh well...finally about 15 hours after waking up, we were finally back home! Gavin was seriously a trooper yesterday. He went right to sleep on the first flight and then was so well behaved the rest of the day. We're so lucky....we were talking about how Baby Sister is probably going to be a hellion!
So, I now have tons to do, including uploading and editing pics so I can share with you. I will get to them, I promise! But I also had to go grocery shopping (which took almost 2 hours this morning because we needed so much!) and I have 5 loads of laundry to do and lots of cleaning, etc. But, we have a lot of great pics and stories to share, so I promise to blog all about our vacation really soon.
