We had a great weekend here! I know many of my friends and family from back home got some snow, but we actually didn't. We totally missed the huge Blizzard of '09 that the east coast got....thankfully!
Jarrod worked in Buffalo all day Saturday. Gavin and I ran a few errands, and then Erin came over and we made a couple batches of Buckeyes and she finished her Christmas cards. It was nice to spend some time with her, and I got to cut some cute little things for some Christmas pages on her Cricut machine. That thing is AWESOME! Love it! When Jarrod finally got home, Gavin was just getting into bed, so we got to relax on the couch with a nice drink and we watched The Hangover. Very funny movie....though a bit raunchy. :)
Sunday was going to be our day to run errands, but Jarrod decided that he needed to do some shopping alone for me. So, we were going to run to Target and Kohls together and then let him go alone. Gavin hadn't slept well the night before, and he was getting really crabby, so I put him down for a nap and told Jarrod to go ahead and run his errands and I'd go when he got back. Well, he was gone for like 6 hours! So, I decided to just wait and run my errands another day. Instead, we took Gavin to look at Christmas lights. We were supposed to go Saturday, but Jarrod's work day was longer than he thought. He was so cute....there was one street all lit up and he kept saying, "Wow....Santa....Ho Ho Ho!....Wow....Santa....Ho Ho Ho!" over and over again. I think he really enjoyed it!

What do Santa and the barber have in common?
Gavin is scared to death of both of them! You saw how our trip to visit Santa turned out. He loves reading about him and seeing pictures of him, but the actual visit...not so much. Well, even though Gavin doesn't have a ton of hair, we decided to go ahead and get his first haircut today. The back was getting pretty long and shaggy. I noticed it in pictures I took of cookie making....it was becoming a mullet! I put off the first haircut as long as could for two reasons. 1.) I wanted you to be able to see a difference with his first haircut. 2.) After they get their first haircut, they look so much older! I wasn't ready for my little baby to look like a little man. But, we thought it would be nice to have it trimmed up before Christmas. Here's a picture of the back before we left. I told him to go smell the tree in order to get him to stand still long enough to get the shot!
When we got there, he was in such a good mood. We let someone go ahead of us, because Jarrod wanted his barber to do the cut. But, when he still wasn't finished with his client, we went ahead and let this woman cut Gavin's hair. He was already unsure as soon as she came near him with a comb. (But isn't he adorable in his little cape???)
