Remember when I was a blonde...

Well...not anymore! So, what did I do??? I still don't know how I feel about it. I think it's a little dark, but Jarrod loves it and keeps telling me to give it time. I brought up the idea of going darker because I didn't want to have to worry about my roots and doing highlights as often. Believe it or not, this is closer to my natural color...I just haven't seen my natural color in probably 15 years! I love how Heidi went back to her natural color, and it looks great on her. When I asked Jarrod if he thought I should get my hair lighter or darker and he said darker, I was shocked. No turning back now...it's done! :) I know Tori doesn't like it :) I love that I have friends that will be honest with me **Thanks, Tori!!!**

Gavin's trip to the doctor

So, we had Gavin's 15 month check up with his new doctor tonight. I was really anxious about going, because he is an "expert" on sleep issues, and I knew we were going to have to do what he said about Gavin's sleep. First, we found out Gavin's only gained 3 ounces in 3 months is basically off the growth chart. So, we're going to go for bloodwork to check his thyroid and kidneys, etc. And as for the sleeping issues and how he basically nurses all night and only wants to sleep while attached to me, he said we have to go cold turkey with weaning and do the cry it out method. I had this feeling that's what he'd say...but it's going to be so hard! We have to stick with it. I need a full night's sleep!!! So...we're starting this weekend. We need to wait until Jarrod won't have to work because I'm sure we'll be up all night!

Date Night

It's hard to believe, but Jarrod and I hadn't been to a movie together since before Gavin was born! (And then...I honestly don't even remember what movie we saw then...Jarrod thinks it was the last Pirates of the Carribean). So, when we were offered a few hours of babysitting to go see a movie, we jumped!

The Proposal was a really cute movie. Perfect for Date Night! Definitely more of a chick flick, but a shot of Sandra Bullock's naked body helped to make it not too girly. :) It was nice to sit in the theater, hold Jarrod's hand, and enjoy ourselves. We were only gone a few hours, and of course Gavin was on my mind the entire time, but we deserved it!

Vacation: Seneca Lake

After visiting Watkins Glen State Park, we took advantage of the gorgeous day and took a boat ride on Seneca Lake.
