8 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 8 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Hamm is the size of a raspberry.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +3lbs - up another pound.
Maternity Clothes: Still in my clothes, but can't always button my jeans!
Gender: Unknown....my gut says it's another boy right now though.
Movement: Too early.
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good!  Naps are common these days.
What I miss: Definitely my baths right now.
Cravings: Sauteed onions - strange, I know.  But I had some on a sandwich last Thursday and haven't stopped thinking about them since...I had some yesterday on our subs and again today with my lunch.
Symptoms: The nausea has been ok these days.  I've been able to eat dinner the last few nights without feeling sick afterwards.  The sleepiness is still there though.
Best Moment this week: Shopping for Big Boy furniture for Gavin's room while he was wearing his Big Brother shirt. :)

Weekend Catch-Up

It's still so hard for me to believe that this is the week of Christmas!!!  Where does time go?  What's really weird is to think that we've lived here just about as long as I was in NY, yet it feels like I was in NY for so much longer!

We had a really nice weekend.  On Friday night, Adam and Jill came over and we just sat around chatting for a while.  It was a nice relaxing evening.  Saturday we were up bright and early and went on a walk.  It was nice to get out and get some {cold} fresh air!  It reminded me of being pregnant with Gavin and getting all bundled up to go walking with Jarrod.  I hope we keep walking together.  Saturday after Gavin's nap we went to The Promenade and walked around ~ it was SO busy!  But, I kinda like the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season.  Then, we headed to Outback for dinner.  We haven't been there since Father's Day.  It was so yummy and Gavin was so well behaved for a change!  We didn't have to walk around the restaurant to keep him entertained!

Sunday, Jarrod got up with Gavin at 5:45 and let me sleep til 7:30.  Heaven!!!  Then we made our usual Sunday morning breakfast and got ready.  We spent Sunday afternoon out furniture shopping.  We need to get Gavin some new dressers since his will be moved to the baby's room.  I had no intention of getting him a new bed.  He has a twin bed that works just fine, but I kinda fell in love with one, so it's on our radar.  It's a full size 'captain's bed,' with a trundle under it.  The trundle looks like 6 drawers, but really only the bottom 3 open, and the other 3 are actually a twin size mattress.  It's pretty neat.  We're still shopping, but it's high on our list.

I'll get some pics uploaded during naptime and post the weekly pregnancy update.  Have a great week everyone!

Some Christmas decorations

I haven't posted many pics of our decorations, and sadly, I didn't take many of us decorating the tree this year.  :(  But here's a glance of our house at Christmas time ~ 2010!

I'm loving our new tree.  I was a little hesitant because it was labeled 'slim' and I didn't want a skinny tree, but it's gorgeous and so easy to assemble!

I really wanted to spend a lot of time making decorations and ornaments with Gavin for his tree and to put around the house, but I've been so tired!  Oh well...

Jarrod asked me recently when we were going to put everything away, and I told him not any time soon!  I love having our tree up!
