Hot Diggity Dog!

Who needs techy guys?  Jarrod's friend came over on Friday as planned, but they got distracted and never looked at the computer.  Oops...  So, Sunday morning, I decided to take matters into my own hand and played around with things.  What did I do???  I have NO idea.  But, the internet now works on both my laptops!  So, problem solved.

Now, I'm finishing up getting the photos from the old laptop transferred to Shutterfly, which isn't an easy task when I take WAY too many photographs!  August, for example, I took 617 photos!  What?!?!  I guess that's what happens when you have such a super cute little man to capture.

But, for today, how about a little video of my singing guy!  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is hit or miss around here, but he definitely likes to sing the Hot Dog song at the end!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Ok....so these are a week late.  But, last Saturday, we celebrated Jarrod's birthday by having lunch out and then we watched football all day.  Gavin and I made him a cake to celebrate...but Gavin couldn't decide which icing he wanted, so we used both.  Half chocolate, half vanilla!  Of course, Gavin had to help Daddy blow out the candles!  Gavin gave him a magnetic photo collage to hang in his office, and I finally reframed his Pete Rose photo for him.  Happy {belated} birthday, babe!

Tot School

I haven't posted a Tot School update in a while!  I wanted to include some of the pictures that are on my other laptop from last week with the ones from this week, but now I can't get that computer to work!  Anyway....here are some pics from the beginnings of our Halloween Tot School activities.
Painting with shaving cream
Our Halloween Sensory Tub!  This thing has been such a hit!  I filled it with dried black beans, a variety of pom poms, popsicle sticks, spiders, pipe cleaners, and various "tools" (scoops, magnifying glass, spoons, etc.)

5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate felt board activity!

 Pumpkin Puzzle
 Sorting Spiders by color
Making a marshmallow ghost!
We also do a couple more crafts that I didn't take pictures of, but I will and add them the next time.  More pumpkin and Halloween activities coming next week!

Technical Difficulties

This transition to a new laptop has caused some technical difficulties, which is why I haven't been posting much or adding new pictures.  In the process of installing Microsoft Office, the wireless router stopped working.  So, now I can only use the internet in the computer room again.  But, I can't get the internet to work on the old laptop now, which is where the pics I want to post are....it's been frustrating to say the least.  I have 2 more months worth of photos to upload to Shutterfly on the old laptop that I can't do.  I'm going to transfer some photos from my camera to the new laptop today so look for some new postings soon.  In the meantime, Jarrod's friend is going to play with the wireless router, hopefully tonight while I'm at a Tastefully Simple party.  If not, we may just buy a new one this weekend because I really hate being without internet.  Sit tight....I will be back soon!

Diaper Free for ONE MONTH!

It has officially been one month since we started potty training, which means one month of NO DIAPERS!  That's just an awesome feeling knowing I don't have to buy diapers.  We do still buy Pull-Ups for naptime and bedtime, but that means we're spending about $10 per month rather than $40!

So, how is he doing?  Honestly, much better than I expected him to do but we still have room to improve.  He is constantly yelling all day long, "I have to go pee pee!"  It's really cute actually.  What really makes me smile are the times he tells me he wants to do it himself and not to come in with him, but a couple minutes later he's yelling he needs help.  There have been a couple times that I've been in the bathroom getting ready and he has gone in by himself and gone potty, and then brings me his pants to put back on.  He's such a big boy!  We have an accident or two a week, he's never had an accident in public, and he's only wet himself once while in his carseat.  Not too bad!

But, like I said....room to improve!  The kid still poops in his underwear (or waits for naptime when I put a Pull-Up on him) every.single.time.  If I see him trying to go and run him to the potty, he immediately stops and says he is all done.  I'm not quite sure what to do to get over this, but from what I hear it's very common for boys in particular so I know it will be a phase that we eventually get past.

My favorite part of this process??? Seeing his cute little tush in some super adorable undies!
