He's FOUR!  

Really...how did four years go by so fast?  

 Geez, do I love this boy!  His attitude and all...  

It would be hard for me to document everything he's done or learned this year, but I do want to try to mention some things.  He threw us for a loop when he counted to 100 by himself recently, he's writing his name so well now (thanks to Miss Linda!) and is definitely showing pre-reading signs.  He asks me constantly what things say, but what really impresses me is when he guess what things say based on their letters.  I was smelling some Scentsy scents for my party this week and he brought me one and said, "Is this one called Cranberry Banana?" because it was (now I don't remember...) C___ B___.  We're going to work on reading a lot this summer.  

Ok...so on his birthday, he woke up at 5am asking if he'd slept long enough to open presents.  He was just a little excited.  We opened presents from Memaw first...

Then from Riley, Mommy, and Daddy...

We surprised him with a bike, but he honestly wasn't as excited about it as we thought he would be.  He is really nervous about riding it, and it's honestly a little big for him, but he can definitely grow into it.  We just have to work on him being confident enough to try it.

Then, we had our traditional birthday breakfast...pancakes in the shape of his age.

We did some shopping that afternoon so he could spend some of his birthday money that he got from Aunt Rosi and Aunt Sandy.  And, we started a new tradition this year...we went to get ice cream for DINNER!  Gavin loved that, and so did we.  :) 

Happy Birthday, Bug.  You sure do know how to make mommy and daddy happy.  We love you bunches.  All the way to the moon and back!
